Kids Teaching Adults about Passivhaus

My 12-year-old grandson texted me yesterday to say he was learning about Net-Zero, carbon neutrality, and PassivHaus in school and because I write about construction, he thought he was bringing me something new.

So I called him and Yes, I listened patiently while he told me how my house could be improved if I would only seal up all the cracks so air couldn’t escape through the walls, replace all my windows with triple pane ones, put in an air exchange system and pack my house with insulation. Damn the cost, he just wants me to live in a safe energy efficient, and sustainable house that fights global warming.
